Sonoma Valley Winery Bike Tour from Healdsburg -- Ride on some of Sonoma County's most beautiful roads! We will spend the day in the hilly Dry Creek Valley, cycling on country lanes and visiting three to five wineries. Dry Creek Valley is known for its spicy reds and great white wines and we will bring you to our favorite wineries to sample fine wine created from the vines we will be cycling past.

Over the course of the day we will ride 18 miles on relatively flat roads, and have our gourmet picnic lunch at one of our winery stops. This area is more rural and quiet than Napa Valley and reminds everyone of Provence, France.

Typical Itinerary
We come together in Healdsburg at 9:30 am. This allows you ample time to finish your B&B breakfast or make the drive up from virtually anywhere in the Northern California region. We then fit you to a Specialized Hybrid bike along with a helmet, bag, and comfortable gel-seat. Your guide goes over the "Rules of the Road" as well as how to operate the bike.

We're off at about 10:00 am. Your leader will explain the sights and local wine facts and history as we travel the quiet country lanes of Dry Creek Valley. After tasting several varieties, we head to our lunch stop at one of the most picturesque wineries where we will enjoy our picnic lunch after wine tasting.

Dining with us is quite an event. Shade oaks provide a canopy with views of the valley. Enjoy a wine country lunch, with a menu that typically includes: pesto pasta salad, local organic salad greens, fresh baked bread, artisan cheeses, seasonal fruit, and dessert. It is a great stop with time for a quick game of Bocce ball or a power nap.

After our lunch we return to our bikes rested and recharged. We will make one or two more winery stops and then return to Healdsburg around 3:30 pm. Here we bid you farewell and thank you for riding with us!

This tour is rated easy to moderate and is suitable for all abilities. We'll travel approximately 18 miles on mostly level terrain.
