Typical Itinerary
We meet at 10:00 am, in downtown Healdsburg, at Lot One behind the Hotel Healdsburg. This allows you ample time to finish your hotel breakfast or make the drive up from virtually anywhere in the Northern California region. We then jump in the van to our launch spot at Veterans Memorial State Beach, on the Russian River.

You'll be fitted with PFD's and listen to brief safety and paddling instructions before we paddle off at about 10:30 am. Within minutes we will experience our first small rapid and have a chance to feel the water temperature difference where small creeks come into the river.

The surrounding scenery changes as we kayak downstream and go from tight sections to areas open with the vineyards lining the river. Along the way we will pass many places to stop for a swim or to enjoy the wildlife that calls the river home.

We will have the opportunities to see Snowy Egrets, Blue Heron, turtles, and even otters. There are many fish from Stealhead to Salmon that live in the river, and depending on the time of year we might also pass schools migrating upstream to spawn.

Along the Russian River are many beaches perfect for picnics. We will stop and enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch. A typical menu might include pesto pasta salad, yummy sandwiches, local organic salad greens, fresh baked bread, exotic cheeses, seasonal fruit, and dessert.

After lunch we'll continue down the river until we reach Wholer bridge, signaling the end of our journey.

We end around 3:30 pm and, jump in the van for the 10 minute drive back to Healdsburg.

Price is per person. Please reserve online, or call us toll-free at 888-307-6192.
